NATIONAL PEANUT BUTTER CONTEST
Diane Gordon was engaged by Cohn & Wolfe to work on a 2011 national
peanut butter recipe contest sponsored by one of their clients. The agency
provided 12 finalist recipes (six savory and six sweet) that were tested
in Diane Gordon Catering's professional kitchen. Following the testing,
Diane Gordon's team prepared presentation versions of every recipe. On
February 15, 2011 a panel of judges reviewed the visual presentation of
all 12 dishes and sampled tasting portions of each selection. As one of
the judges on the panel, Diane Gordon assessed each dish in terms of creativity,
taste and appearance and advised the other judges about the ease of preparation.
Following a lively discussion winners were selected in each category. Be
on the lookout for a peanut butter and jelly crème brûlée on Diane Gordon
Catering's menus, inspired by this project.
